I've heard that drinking is a big part of the summer experience, but I don't drink. Will anybody notice if I order my coke without rum? I don't want to appear stuffy, but I really can't drink. Is there a diplomatic way to handle it, or is unlikely that anybody will care?

Did anybody else get this email? What's this all about? Has anybody participated in the past? Is it worthwhile?

Over the course of my first year in law school, I've collected a respectable pile of free junk. What free crap did you get? Don't count stuff that you earned like scholarships and what not.
Here's my list that I still have around the house:
Barbri - Highlighter, some pens, a folder
Acquired by redeeming Westlaw or Lexis points - IPod shuffle, a set of knives
Westlaw - Two "padfolios," pens, a Nalgene-type water bottle, key chain, mouse pad, stress ball
Lexis - a weird looking waterbottle, pens, one of those foam things that you put on a beer bottle to keep it cold
Micromash - stress ball with a tether so I can hit people in the forhead with it when they're stressing me out
The school - a CD travel case (during orientation), a pen, a plastic no-spill coffee mug, a t-shirt, a bunch of folders

$75. It's in pretty good shape. I don't think there's any writing in the Primer, but I'll check on that.

I've been invited onto Law Review, which is awesome, but I'm having some trouble managing my time and remaining focused on school work. I feel pretty overwhelmed. Does anybody have any tips? I keep two calendars and I schedule study time, but it seems like I still don't have time to really absorb the material - especially Con Law. Does anybody have tips for studying more efficiently? I don't want my grades to dip this semester.

All the questions about class rank are starting to annoy me. As far as I know, there are four ways to get your class rank. 1) If grades are published somewhere, you can copy everybody's grades into an Excel spreadsheet and sort by average. 2) You can ask your registrar for your rank 3) You can ask career services or the registrar for the ranking information for the last 1L class. Career services at my school has a letter that explains the curve to employers and includes an estimate of class rank. 4) You can ask a 2L about what the cut-offs were for each rank. They probably know.
Other than that, curves vary so much that you will not know what your rank is just by comparing to other people on this board.

I have a ton of rejections, but some have asked me to reapply for the summer of my 2L year. Does this really mean that they would like me to reapply, or is it a standard thing firms put in rejection letters?

Has anybody finished a law school final exam early and done well? How about a first-year exam? I'm just wondering because several people left early in the last two exams, but I was working up until the last minute. I'm wondering if this is a sign that I'm not budgeting my time well, or if the people who left just missed something.

Has anybody ever used Epstein's 7 questions approach on an exam? Did that format help you? If you have any other thoughts about the BarBri lecture tapes, I'm interested in that, too.

Contracts is making me pretty cynical. Just thought I'd vent. Anybody have Bridgeman? He's pretty awesome.
