You've already said that you talked to 3L's who said that only 1 or 2 people fail, and that's because "they didn't do anything." You've briefed, you've done your outline, you've been studying. So quit flipping out, get ahold of yourself. Law school is mostly a mind f*ck, and you're taking yourself out of the game by losing it.

Usually people who care so much about prestige are people I try to avoid. I went to the closest school to me that offered me the most money to attend. And now, I'd like to transfer to a school that is closer to my boyfriend, and I don't care what school that is, as long as it's closer to him. Law school is what we make it. I've met some real losers who went to some of the top law schools in the country. It doesn't make them any better than anyone else... but THEY think it makes them better than everyone else. They're idiots.

Hey, I have Hatamyar for Civ Pro. She's a beast. I have Johnson next semester for Crim Law. Let me know if you have any advice you can offer! Wait a second...you said "she." The Johnson I have is a "he." Never mind! Good luck with your finals!!

No, I totally dig Soul Man, haven't seen it for a long time though. I thought Julia Louis-Dreyfus was hilarious in that movie.

Man, I need to think about something else for a while. Civ Pro has me bummed out.
Hey...what's your favorite "law" movie?
Right now, I'm hooked on Pacino in "...And Justice for All." I think I'm gonna put it in right now.

I signed up for the pre-law side a few years ago, when I realized I was serious about going to law school. But the comments that actually pertained to law school were so few and far between, I neglected my account. Since I'm not interested in talking to strangers about my sex life (or lack thereof, as it were...), I found the pre-law side fairly useless. Time lapsed, and I think I was systematically flushed out for lack of activity. When I was finally accepted to law school, I started a new account and began to post a few things here and there on the student side.
I've found the conversation to be quite stimulating. I've been flamed a couple of times, but hey...ain't nobody perfect, right? Most people are genuinely nice, and it's great to be able to converse with people who are going through the same thing I am. It makes me feel....not quite so isolated.
Sorry we disappointed you, Dodgerlaw, but hey. Whatever.

"Not in California and a couple other states."
Ooops, I stand corrected - at least, on California. I haven't seen any other states that allow bar passage without graduating from an ABA-accredited school.

Congratulations!! That is awesome news.
So...let me pick your large and overstuffed brain. I am a 1L. In your opinion, did it get any easier after your first year, or is that just a vicious rumor that is told to 1L's in order to get them to come back for their 2L year?
