Current Law Students / Re: law school depression
« on: August 16, 2005, 07:29:30 AM »
So i wondering if this is just me...but i hate the people in law school!!!

Who cares about the other people, just be concerned with yourself, i understand your point but it shouldnt be relevant to you learning law.  There was this girl in one of my classes who went in there quoting all these cases and actually telling the professor how she would  decide the case.  Keep in mind, the professor just asked for the facts in the case.

Anyway my advice dont even worry about the other people..just be concerned with yourself and becoming a good attorney.

Good briefs = good class participation, which counts for nothing.

You;re right the only bit i think you should add is that briefing is important to get you into the mind set of looking at how the courts apply the law to given fact situations, then it is up to you to learn this for legal analysis and apply similar methods in your exams.

« on: August 16, 2005, 12:44:48 AM »
Any PLS readers here who have read most of the book and taken the suggestions regarding prep?

I followed the 6 week recommendations and so far everything in the book has been ringing true.

If I make 100 posts can I be President of the Universal Galactic Senate and speak at my graduation.

;)

Just messing with you all regarding the number of posts and opinions...anyone having fun yet in law school? Its been interesting just seeing how people are approaching classes and their answering and reactions to professor's grillings.

What a school to allow teachers to intimidate and manipulate students!

Thats a Professor's job.  Its quite fun actually, just be calm and try and give them an answer that is professional.

So if he had more posts he could call her a psycho? What kind of moronic reasoning is that?

I agree, I dont know how you can relate the number of posts to the legitimacy of an opinion on here.  Care to explain your reasoning? just curious to see your rational.

Thanks

I'm going to think outside the box a little bit and change my vote to the Silver Surfer.  He was responsible (along with the help of the Fantastic Four) for repelling the attack of Galactus.  I have to think he would be able to deal with Superman, or the Green Lantern.

The only way silver sufer could defeat green lantern is if he stole the physical green lantern, the green lantern uses the physical lantern to charge his ring (the ring that can make nukes), and their battle insued at a time period when the ring was not charged.

FYI green lantern has to recharge his ring ever 24 hours, much like a cell phone.

Respectively yours,

Current Law Students / Re: do you have a silent timer you want to sell?
« on: August 13, 2005, 02:39:05 PM »
I bought a timer with a compass from radio shack for 5 dollars for the lsat.  It has a slight beep that you can barely hear.  Its un-audiable if you cover the small speaker hole with your thumb.

It worked great for me and I dont believe proctors even care unless you have such a loud alarm that it will effect other test takers.

If you get lost trying to find the exit after the test, you can use the compass to plot your path.
