Hey Danya,
This is Sabra.  Sorry we lost touch, my computer at home is being fixed and I didn't have internet access.  If you found a place, that is great!  I have found a place, but am looking for two roomates so I though this may be a good place to post.  Good luck with house hunting everyone!
Regards,
Sabra

General Board / ROOMATES OR NOT?
« on: May 03, 2005, 12:35:24 PM »
Hello all,
I am debating whether to get a studio or room with someone when I room to Baltimore in the fall to attend UMD.
PROS- save about $2-300 a mo., safer although apartment buildings typically have security
CONS- don't know anyone who needs a roomate so I would have to live with a stranger, have a serious boyfriend who will be visiting at 1-2 times a week
I would really appreciate some input from ppl who have had good or bad experiences either way.
Thanx

Wow!  You already know where your living?  That's great.  I have been doing some preliminary research online this week.  I hope to drive down in the next few weeks to see everything first hand.  Any tips/pointers?

Maryland / Re: Maryland wait list
« on: April 21, 2005, 12:37:09 PM »
So last year 5 were accepted,, and this year there are about 650 on the wait list.  In other words, a wait list at UMSL is a rejection.

Just posting info so nobody gets their hopes up like i did.

I was accepted off the waitlist on Friday.  I was reading another post and so was another student.  When I spoke to admissions, they told me ten were admitted.  It varies by year.  Keep hope alive.
