General Board / Re: Any waiting on Air Force JAG October 2007 results???
« on: January 20, 2008, 02:46:56 AM »
Ok so I have pretty mediocre grades, around 50th percentile, maybe a little lower, had a 161 on my lsat and a pretty horrid undergrad GPA. I was prior enlisted for six years, but in those six years, I had a semi rough period and had a 3 EPR once. Having said all of this, is there any chance in Hades of me getting in or should I not even bother? I'd appreciate any and all honest opinions. Thanks a lot.

I was thinking about applying for JAG...I have no idea about how to go about it.  I was active duty for six years before I went to law school.  Can I still apply even though I'm graduating in May?

General Board / Re: Mycasebriefs.com

The free ones are a great way to get started but I go straight to a commercial site if I'm in a hurry and don't have time to sift through the crap.  I've found www.justincasebriefs.com to be good...the audio sites are cool but I take it in a little better if I'm able to download or print a brief out.  Whatever works...

If it's just a text brief you want, why not just use Lexis or Westlaw?  They are easy to find and free.  http://www.audiocasebook.com/ is meant for listening in your car or at the gym when you can't read.

First, not all universities provide access to Lexis or Westlaw. Second, these sights are for legal research not for in-class case brief study aids.

Most students purchase suppl. study aids to assist in their studies, and justincasebriefs.com is a source I have found useful because of the quality and the fact that you case purchase individual cases.[

name me one school that doesnt offer westlaw or lexis!

General Board / Re: Can we have a moratorium on the insecure 1L threads?

Im a 2L and I gotta disagree with you guys.  This board, if nothing else is a chance to vent.  If you're tired of the threads don't read 'em.  I dont read them and they dont bother me

its not that the information gets that much more difficult, its that it just never stops coming and starts to pile up along with LRW.  Just wait till November
