General Board / LOYOLA - NEW ORLEANS STUDENTS/GRADUATES - Please read / respond

Hi There.
I was recently accepted to Loyola - NO and have received mixed feedback regarding this school. I will be going to visit the school in April for the school's open house, however, I have a few questions.
Is this school a "who you know" school? For example, it is a really great school who have excellent connections / deep roots in the South/area?
Does the curriculum focus primarily focus on civil law even though I will be enrolled in the common law?
How are the academics?
