Wow  it has been  a long time since I posted on his board!! It used to be my back bone to the application process!! Now i'v been practicing for 2 years! haha

Anyway... I know someone who is ONLY applying to 1 law school... Widener Law Evening program... she got a 141 lsat and a gpa of 3.3ish I think, latina minority from another country... She can only stay within the local philly area... she knows her lsat is not enough for temple evening or rutgers.... so widener it is...

Does anyone have experience with Widener's Evening program and/or their conditional summer program?? What types of numbers did you or people you know have when they were accepted into the evening program or summer conditional program?? How was the summer program?? Was it offered to students only applying to the evening program?? Any info and of you can give would be greatly appreciated. Any shots here?? Thanks...

Does anyone know anyone who did this program? I know it is an incredible program (it is the only one of its kind in the country). I can't wait to start it this May!! I'm just curious if anyone else has any information on the program that I haven't already heard.

Thanks for you time and consideration.

Transferring / Visiting student matriculation questions....
« on: July 18, 2008, 03:00:17 PM »
Hello all!! I plan on visiting a school in my hometown area... I was wondering what the pro and cons of visiting a school would be...
Does it really matter all that much which school I could visit?? It is a huge advantage just to put a school's name on a resume even though i dont' get a degree?? Perhaps networking is better at one school over another...

Should I really choose a top law school over another one that is cheaper and closer?? What options can I gain by visiting a top law school if I'm not going to get their degree??

Lets take UPenn v. Villanova v. Temple for example....

Anyway is the standards still the same if I was going to visit a school as a non-metriculating student?? Villanova would be the closest to my hometown county...
Does anyone have any information on being a visiting student?? and the pros and cons of such??

Thanks for your time everyone!!!

I already posted this in the general board but thought i would post here too.

I'm curious to hear about experiences of students Visiting another law school for their 3rd and final year of law school?? How was the transition? Was it worth it?? For visiting you still get your home school degree but can take courses at another school. It is like studying abroad with another school. Grades don't count toward home school gpa, but you need a C in the class to get credit.....

If transfering doesn't work or isn't an options, visiting is another shot to go into the location where you plan to practice.

Gracias

General Board / MPRE EXAM THIS SATURDAY!
« on: March 05, 2008, 04:18:23 PM »
HI all

I like may of your i'm sure are planning to take the MPRE exam this saturday. I have no clue what kind of score I need to pass. I know every state is different. Right now all i'v been doing is taking practice exams from Barbri. I'm just trying to figure out how many I need to get correct. IT is really annoying b/c i have no clue where to begin since it is out of 60 and 10 questions don't count!! Of course i'll shoot for 60 right, but that isn't happening!

To anyone who has taken the exam before. Do you remember how many you got right when practicing?? ANd what your scale score was and how many you got correct?  PA requries a 75 scaled score and I have no clue how many I need to do well!

Any info would be great. And i'm sure there are others planning to take the exam and would like to learn as much as possible about it.
