Call me Mr. Disagreeable, but I think Blazing Saddles has aged poorly. It's outdated. It's got a bunch of great lines, but Airplane! is far funnier, as is The Princess Bride, as is Young Frankenstein, as is Clue.

Begin assault...

Young Frankenstein? How about Young Einstein?-that movie cracked me up....of course I was like four when I saw it.

ha, ya it is an old thread. I was so happy with the Pearl Jam cd that I wanted to start a thread saying how good it was, but then I thought there might not be enough interest to warrant a thread...and I'd come off like a damn superfan. Nonetheless, I had to mention it somewhere on lsd.

I say go for Pitt...of course that's where I am bias. I was really impressed with Pitt when I visited, you can check out my thread "my trip to pittsburgh" or something like that.

Well it's 2006, but Pearl Jam's new cd just came out an it is awsome.

Just watched Paradise now (more like Sunday/Monday night) and now got the OC Season 2, Disc 1   ;D I also currently have Mr. and Mrs. Smith which I have had out since December 31 or so (I kid you not).

As for the turnaround thing that is true to a degree. It is a pretty well known fact that if you watch and return movies at a very fast pace they will start "throttling" you. But then again, that's economics. They try to entice new customers with quick turnaround time and then when you become their loyal customer they delay your movies a bit :P ...I mean they do have a limited supply of movies after all and they do have to make sure they're making profits.
For me though i would still get my movies within two days 95% of the time (I'd send it one day, it'd reach the next and I'd have another movie the day after). What they do tend to do, however, is put you on a much longer wait for the in-demand/new releases so that the movie stays in your queue for a while until it's available to ship.

How was Paradise Now?

Knowing or having met many of the organizers I think their intentions regarding the rally, and everything else that they have done, are excellent. I also think that although the list of speakers could have been improved, the speakers are the most insignificant part of the entire rally. The people all showed up with good intentions that will be carried on. Just my take on it.

Just a quick message to say thanks to those of you who made the Darfur awareness rally in DC this past Sunday. I was encouraged to see so many people, particularly young people. It is good to see that young people are making themselves aware of issues such as this, that certainly can't hurt for the future. Of course, it is discouraging, seeing as no real action has been taken and we just took a step backwards by cutting money for food in half. Nonetheless, I was glad to see so many people, there were not this many people who knew and cared about Darfur a couple of years ago. Still, awareness is useless if it does not lead to action, so keep it up!
