I've got a friend who supplies me with all the software, so I'm going to try and go that direction to save some cash.

Black Law Student Discussion Board / Re: Whats your biggest dream?« on: July 10, 2006, 07:51:17 PM »
I've always thought that the two coolest things in the world...thinking selfishly...would be to 1) build a time machine and 2)fly.
Those are my dreams. As for more realistic dreams, I would like to own a house somewhere in Western Africa, write novels, and advocate for local causes. 14

Thanks a lot for the links. While I'm at it, are there any bars, etc that I should check out right away? Thanks.

General Off-Topic Board / Re: Calling All Artists« on: July 09, 2006, 10:00:53 PM »That sounds promising. I went to visit for a couple of days, but mainly I just checked out the law school. I am moving up there on August 3rd (shadyside). My friend will be driving me up, can you recommend any good weekend places to check out? I'm into a lot of punk-ish stuff, a' la velevet underground, clash, sex pistols and whatnot. I also dig jam bands and stuff like The Strokes, Kings of Leon, etc. Oh, I can also get into some odd folky stuff and some metal. Ya, so I do it all. If you could send me a couple links to some of the more popular Pittsburgh bands that might be playing that would be awsome. Thanks. 16

I hope to really take advantage of the short breaks, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. Hopefully I can find some kind of music scene in Pittsburgh, and as long as I don't sleep, I should be able to check it out now and again.

Financial Aid / Scared to death« on: July 06, 2006, 11:13:48 AM »
So as the law school year approaches and the loan process becomes more visible, is anyone else becoming very very scared? Is anyone else wondering if they should have chosen the "less desirable" school that was willing to give more money? Is anyone else thinking about getting good grades and transfering to a lesser school for a full scholarship?
Does anyone want to send some words of encouragment? 19
Where should I go next fall? / Re: Public policy« on: June 22, 2006, 02:13:40 PM »
I will be attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in the fall and I am giving serious consideration to completing a dual degree. The other degree would be a Masters in International Development. I want to do international human rights work, both on a legal and policy level. It has been difficult to find an ideal organization to shoot for and I am in the process of doing all the research that I can to see which direction to go.

I didn't realize there was already another site about food. Huh, well I'm glad to see it!
For me, it's Bush's Chilli over white rice, I love that stuff. |
