Well I've narrowed my list down to ten schools, and I'm just trying to chose the final one. So far it is between, Ohio St., Case Western, Pittsburgh, and Lewis and Clark. I know they seem kind of random, but any suggestions as to which might be the best. I want to eventually work in the Northeast and do Human Rights Law.

Also, does anyone know anything about Albany?

Thanks

Law School Applications / Catholic Law and Religion
« on: October 08, 2005, 06:13:14 PM »
Hello,

This may be an odd question, but I was wondering how religious is Catholic U in DC? I ask because I am not a religious person, in fact quite the opposite. I don't mean to start an argument or anything, I am just saying that for me personally I would not be happy at a school where I am constantly hearing things about religion.
Anyway, I was hoping someone could help me, maybe someone who goes to the school, how do you like it, how prevelant is the religious "scene."

Thank you for any help you can offer

« on: October 02, 2005, 10:41:33 AM »
Hello,

Where would I find a list of hardest to easiest schools to get into?
Also, is there a website better than all the rest for researching schools?

Thanks for helping me out with this process.

155 LSAT
3.3 GPA
Interesting Work Expirience in Africa, Ireland, and Connecticut
Psy Chi, National Honor Society
MAP Scholarship
Magna Cum Laude

What schools should I be applying to as reach schools?
(I am interested in staying in the Northeast, but not set on it, I'd like to go to the best place I can get into)

Are there any part time programs that are much easier to get into then full time?

Thanks

Law School Applications / LSAC GPA
« on: September 28, 2005, 01:47:37 PM »
First off forgive me, I've got a lot on my mind and I keep hearing different things, so now I'm confused. If someone could show me the light I would really really appreciate it.

Ok, my GPA is 3.56 on a 4.0 scale. Now, does LSAC take this GPA and throw it through some amazing formula that compares my schools "grade inflation" with other schools, and pop out a new GPA, which would be the one seen by law schools?

Or, is this simply my gpa, and all law schools will see it as is?

By the way, if they do put it throw the crazy formula, how much does it usually change?

Thanks so much, sorry I know this question is kida stupid.

Hello,

This is one of those where can I get in posts. I was hoping that you guys could tell me the best schools that I might have a chance at, I know my LSAT is very low, so any advice of where I might be able to get in that's a decent school would be welcome.

LSAT: 155
GPA: 3.25
EXTRA: Worked at a mental hospital in Africa for 2 months, taught children English there as
       well.
6 months in Ireland working with abused children
Currently working for small law firm in Hartford, CT
       Psy Chi member
       3.6 major gpa
       other various volunteer work

I would like to go to school in Massachusetts or Washington DC, or else somewhere else in the Northeast.

Thanks

Studying for the LSAT / For October or November people
« on: September 18, 2005, 06:04:49 PM »
Hello everyone.

Well, it's late September and I am officially worried. If anyone can give me any advice I'd really appreciate it.

I am scoring 155-158 on every single pretest. I really really want to get into Northeastern or Boston College, I would be extremely happy with either one. My GPA is 3.4 and I have some interesting background, such as working at a mental hospital and teaching children in Africa, and working with abused children in Ireland.

So, do I take the LSAT's October 1st, knowing my LSAT score will be around 156, or do I wait until December and assume that I can bump it up 5 or so points???

I am really unsure of what to do, please help me.
Thanks for the time.
