I'll get together a CYE viewing night this semester. You'll know me if I'm in your section cause I'll be the one making Larry David-esque awkward situations at all times.

I'd definitely be down for that, especially since I've yet to see the 4th and 5th seasons

4th season may be the best, 5th is easily the worst save for the Ski Lift episode.

I've already got the University of Michigan decal. I could switch it for a Michigan Law one, but isn't that a bit pompous?

Actually, Apple is pretty lenient with the educational discount.  As long as you can show them SOMETHING to document your student status, they'll give you all the student perks (I just pulled up a Michigan password-protected page on an instore computer, for ex.)

They don't care who you buy for, either.  In the last few years I've gotten student pricing on a Powerbook for my father and an iMac for my mother, in addition to my Powerbook and my Macbook Pro.

Finally, three cheers for Cornell, whose IT dept. allows student pricing for life to all Cornell alums...so far, the most tangible economic benefit of that masters degree!

I just went to the Apple Online store and typed in University of Michigan Law School and got all the student benefits.

I bought mine Saturday.

Got the 1.83Ghz model, 60GB HD (cause I'm keeping all my MP3's and movies on my desktop), and the upgrade to 1GB RAM just to be on the safe side. I added on 3 years of AppleCare. I also upgraded in the iPod department, grabbing the black 30GB to replace my aging monochrome, non-video 20GB (which I'm going to sell to my mom). Also, Apple had a deal which ended this weekend for a $100 rebate on a printer, so I "bought" the $99.99 HP 3-in-1 for free.

By the time you tack on money my dad owed me and rebates, I spent $310. Tack on another $45 to get BootCamp + XP Pro added by the techies at Michigan, and a free version of Office from my buddy, and I've got a fully loaded new set up for $350.

Just bought....

MacBook (white)
1.83 GHz Dual Core
60GB HD
1GB RAM

And added on 3 years of AppleCare, a 30GB video iPod and an HP 3-in-1 color printer. After the money my pops owed me and rebates, I spent a grand total of $310. Adding on BootCamp, XP Pro and the full Office suite will run me another $50-70 thanks to student discounts.

Alright, so I sent back those forms they sent us about GradPlus last week... haven't heard anything yet. Anyone have any news on this?

I assume that the FinAid office gets the ball rolling on the process once you turn the forms in?

The forms that I'm thinking of were sent a few weeks ago via email.  You're referring to the Credit Authorization and Grad PLUS request forms, right?  Not to be anal, I just want to make sure that I haven't missed something.

Yeah. Sorry, I'm working full time and juggling a few out of work commitments, so what seems like last week could have been a day ago, a month ago, or last year at this point.

k, thanks

Love the quote, btw.

The Office or the CYE quote? Either way, they're two of my favorite shows... so you must have good taste.

Not Michigan.

"Ann Arbor, home to the hottest girls from 50 feet away." Thank goodness I didn't enter the U of M single.
