Thanks. I wish I had set my bar a bit higher... I feel way behind now.

Current Law Students / Decent but not great grades at a T14...
« on: January 30, 2007, 09:42:33 PM »
I go to Michigan. Pulled off a 3.43 this semester. Class curve is 3.19.

This is not meant to be a show-offy thread. I honestly expected around a 3.0 this semester, and prepared myself for this and set my goals and expectations for employment (including summer employment) around this.

So I'm a bit in the dark as to what this means... are these grades good enough for a summer position at a firm? What should my expectations for employment be (assuming I do similarly this semester?)

This might seem weird but I honestly thought I was one of the dumbest kids in my class before grades came in.. so I don't know exactly what my scores mean.

Yeah. The fact that Comcast somehow swings being the ONLY cable provider in AA seems a bit  :-\ to me.

Tonight's my last night not in AA. I'll be bookshopping tomorrow (finally; yes I am late oh well).

In other news, Comcast still sucks. I don't watch a ton of TV but wanted to get a cheap basic cable package so that I'd have something to unwind with this semester when I feel I'm about to lose my mind.

Too bad the cheapest package is $50/month. For basic cable.

I'm in F.

Here's where I show my ignorance: is there a specific author or publishing house name for the books listed above for the F'ers (ha)? Cause I'm not going to be down in AA till next week and I'd like to check some of this stuff out online.

Nice resource for finding cheap books online, btw, is bookfinder.com.

I think I have about 40 pages to read for the first day as well as a four page paper due next thursday. Haven't even started class yet  :P

40 per class, right?

I "move" to Ann Arbor the night before orientation, and this move just equals me living on my friend's couch for a week. I move into my place the last day of orientation... oh joy.

Bucks will probably win it all this year, but the Wolverines will play spoiler. Book it.
