Studying for the LSAT / Re: The Official Oct 2005 Score Thread

Just a couple points:

1)  The people reporting scores here are, of course, not representative.  Only 10% of all testakers get above 163, and only about 2% get over 170, so don't compare yourself too much against the high-scorers here.

2)  If you get a 167/3.6+, and write a decent essay, you should be able to get into a T14.

3)  If you get 160 or above, with decent grades, you'll get into a solid, top-tier school, and you should keep in mind that you're above the vast majority of testakers.  Most students, of course, score 151 or below.

I scored in the low 140's. Will any decent law school accept me? :-[ :-[
Drinking is helping some pain go away....yes I'm weak.

Where should I go next fall? / lsat 138, where can I get in?

I was in the 140's. I do not do well on standardized tests.

I would have been happy to get a 161.I feel really depressed right now, can't stop crying......
I don't even know how I'm coherent enough to use a computer.
I got a 161.
This is literally the biggest shock of my entire life.
I felt like it was harder than any preptest I've done, and I've done all of them. But not bad enough to cancel. I looked on all the postmortem threads and figured I made around 8 LR mistakes, MAX, but I still thought I did decent. So I was setting myself up for around 165 at the ABSOLUTE WORST.
I completely completely completely screwed up.

Does the number of 170+ scores on this board disturb anyone?
I'm totally not accusing anyone of lying, and I know this board is a self-selecting group of smarties. But it still seems weird, statistics-wise.

I doubt many here with less than 165+ would post their score out of shame since this board is pretty elitist.

I knew I should have been accommodated for this f*cking test, I deserve in the 160's as shown in my accommodated testing practice tests.

141  :'( :'(

Flame me all you want, I will still be a better lawyer than those who wish to exploit my honesty.

Maybe if you take the testmasters course or something. I honestly thought I would do better. Yes, I'm still going to slit my wrists now.

Law School Applications / Re: Something VERY disturbing about Michigan =(

So I found out something really disturbing about the University of Michigan Law School.

Apparently, Ann Coulter is an alum.

I almost threw up when I saw that  :'(

Yes, I suppose for someone such as yourself standards would be vomit inducing.

Obviously he's not but since he feels the need to beat on others who he feels are lower than himself I felt I may as well do the same. However, since I'm not as easily amused as he is I'm going to ignore his idiotic ramblings for a bit. :-*

you're following Mithras and I am following you. Curious.

You = Mithras.

Nice try, but no.

Don't waste your time on Pancho. He's really not worth the effort.

As were you in regards to Mithras. *ZING*

Please crawl out from suburbia and experience the lower class. They aren't bad people, they're just poor.

You're stereotyping.  I'm not from Suburbia - not even close!  You've taken a large logical leap.
