I am currently a PT evening law student, not by choice, but by circumstance of age and family, and I would say that the advantages to part time evening is, you can work full time so you don't have to have any loans. This work can be even at a law firm to gain experience. Negatives are, it is very hard to balance work, family, and school all at the same time. Also, schools in general gear most of their clubs and activities toward their day full time students.
Another negative I found was that during the summer, must law firms and organizations want you to work their full time for 3 months, so if you are not working in a law firm, like I do not, it is nearly impossible. But I did find a part time law intern for the summer, it's just not as available.
If I were you, I would pick Loyola over Peperdine anyday. And if you don't have a job already, get a whole bunch of internships at different law firms so you can figure out what type of law you like.
