Current Law Students / Re: Soooo frustrated with contracts studying
« on: December 03, 2004, 05:56:41 PM »
We did the same dam thing. Started in the middle of the casebook. I agree it's much easier to start at the beginning.....do you think there is a "valid" reason why the don't?  ???
The Gilbert's tapes on Ks are good......

Our midterm will cover pages 1-572 of the Lewis, Ayres and Speidel casebook.
Is that a riot or what?
I enjoy reading y'alls posts but I am clueless. Glad someone understands it!  ???

Yo, I couldn't even tell you who made our casebook, but I want to pimp slap them.  As usual, we covered some 6 to 700 pages of the case book in K but that's ok.  I'm not complaining about that part.  what I'm complaining about is that it was about MID-friggin-NOVEMBER before we even heard the words "Offer and Acceptance".  We had been talkin about K damages without even knowing what a K is!!!  that's crazy!

I just made my outline and I'm tellin you, it flows so much better if you START at the BEGINNING (what a novel idea right?).  Do we even have a K?  Was there an offer?  Was it accepted?  OK great, there's a K.  NOW we can move on to consideration, reliance, restitution...etc.

sorry for the rant...I hate my K professor...

Those are very helpful to me!

Glad you are feeling better. If we didn't feel overwhelmed most of the time then law school would not have its reputation, right?
Have you read "1L" by Scott Turow? It's a diary of his days at HLS.
A great read when you just can't read any more school stuff.
Most of our problems and feelings have been around since at least 1977 (when he was a 1L).
It's great to read someone else's perspective!

We're all in the same boat, if it helps any.....
I think 90% of us feel that way, some of us more often than not.
At my school we get 5 days of holiday break, and no spring break.
I've got two young children and a Torts midterm (the weedeater) on December 23rd.
Law school sucks, but what else are you gonna do with your life?
Hang in there. At least you won't have classes for 3 weeks.
And good luck with your dog.  :)
You'll make it.
What tune would you like to hear? The "Cold Mountain" soundtrack is pretty mournful.....

All great so far.... thanks to those who have contributed... however, this is a case where there is never enough!

Yep, TOO MUCH is NOT ENOUGH....is it? I am about to stop looking for stuff and start doing.
I have so many "study aids" I could start a tutoring business!
But.....there is also some good Barbri stuff and bar prep (PMBR) has some short fact patterns.
Good luck to us all.......   8)
