How important would it be for a person jumping from a T25 to a T14 if said person's rank was within range for the schools (ex: Top 15% @ BU to transfer to Mich/Penn/UVA/Boalt)?

Thanks guys. They are 90% my top choice at this point for a variety of reasons. At this point I still haven't heard from BU or WUSTL, and I would take W&L over them.

Hello, I have somewhat competitive numbers for W&L, 3.45, 166, and I have yet to hear from them. I have been complete since October. I just saw on their website that all applications complete by January will be decided upon by April 2. Since I have not heard, I should expect a rejection or a waitlist, correct? Anybody else in the same boat as me?

Any of the current students going to come out with us during the ASW? Thanks for all the invaluable information.
I don't know about any other the other people, but I'll be studying for exams.
As you should be doing, this is law school of course. Read, Class, Read, Read, Sleep, Read, Read, Class, Read, Sleep....rinse & repeat

I would expect finding a decent house or condo in the near area would be pretty reasonable with all the people trying to sell and the market being crappy. I think a lot of people rent when they can't sell.
You're absolutely right about this. While the neighborhoods within walking distance have maintained their prices, other areas near the school are renting cheaper because too many houses are sitting on the market for sale. I've seen several houses for rent in the area that were clearly just renovated in anticipation of being sold, but now they're up for rent because the market went down.
I'm a current 1L living in the neighborhood right across the street from the school. If anyone has any questions about looking for a place, feel free to PM me. I did this all last year. As for general advice, the housing search tools listed at the beginning of this thread are the place to go. The good apartments can go fast, so the key is to check up on them every day and pounce on the place you want the moment you find it.
Any Emory-specific tips that you have learned from your first year at Emory? Also, curious, what was your first semester class schedule? If I don't get into BU/W&L then I am headed to Emory.

What are some gated complexes in the area that could be hand for $900-1000 for a 1BR?

Still no word from W&L. I really want them to notify me, they are my top pick.
