No one think Fordham is prestigious, not even in NYC. Fordham has virtually no name recognition outside of the immidiate NYC metro area, even less than some mediocre state school because they bear the name of the state.

I forgot to mention that this thread was intended as a flame. As you can see from my LSN profile, I applied last cycle, and is currently attending Chicago. Although NYU is a vastly superior school I have no desire to go there.

Just called NYU, there is no need to disclose speeding ticket. The girl at NYU actually thought it is hilarious that I was thinking about disclosing.

NYU's application asks "whether I have been convicted of any crime or offense". Does that include speeding tickets (non alcohol related, and less than 15 miles over)?

Use your brain before posting. Changing the unit (from firm to office) does not change the ratio between # of participant in OCI between Gtown, GWU and UIUC. How do you know it is exaggerated? do you think your puny brain contains better info than folks over at NALP who is trusted by attorneys and law students across the nation? 6

Firms would surely take a bottom ranking guy at a top school over a top ranking guy at a bottom school.

How easy or hard the material is has no bearing on anything; this is an undergrad mindset. The question is no longer the difficulty of the material, it's how well you know the material versus your classmates. Well, this might be true to some extend, but not all law schools rank their students, and finishing at the bottom of some law school won't mean the end of the world. In fact, even middle ranking kids from middle ranking schools get decent job when they graduate. I don't see how I should bust my ass to try to ending up at the top when I can graduate in the middle of the pack and still get a decent paying job. I don't think I am that stupid compared to my classmates. 8

Law school is much easier than engineering is many ways. One of them is that the law is intrinsically easier than most engineering concepts, because law must make sense for people to be willing to follow it. On the other hand, a lot of engineering theories are downright counter intuitive. Good luck trying to find out the logic behind 'First' and 'Follow' functions of compiler design.

I plan to start outlining next weekend, or the weekend after next, which program do you think is better for outlining, OneNote or MS Word? Or do you have other programs that you believe are superior to both? Please give suggestion.

I am not very big on raising my hands in classroom discussion. Should that in anyway hurt my performance on law school exams? I do go to classese and pay attendtion and do the readings.
