Where should I go next fall? / Re: 25k from Yale vs. Hamilton« on: March 20, 2006, 11:51:23 PM »$25K is an awesome grant from Yale -- one of the highest I've seen. You should take it and run. Agreed. 6
Where should I go next fall? / Re: Rankings whores.« on: March 20, 2006, 09:39:42 PM »The thing is, UVA will provide more opportunities for public interest than Tulane. Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / Re: Harvard Admit Weekend« on: March 20, 2006, 01:28:19 PM »Just looking through this thread to get impressions of H. Yale, I think -- if you're talking about the part where she's "writing" Ring of Fire -- that you're talking about an autoharp. Apr 8-10. Law School Applications / Re: Applying Early versus Late-What's the difference?« on: March 20, 2006, 02:10:28 AM »If you are borderline, would you prefer getting one look at your app or two? I got two looks with Harvard by applying in September and am happy with the result. I don't think anyone would suggest holding your apps until a certain period of time just to gain an advantage - it doesn't exist. Send updates to your early application. A lot of people do so. With all due respect, borderline or longshot candidates who apply early and get deferred would probably be rejected much later in the cycle or deferred regardless. And TITCR. |
