Hey Ragnar, Im sorry to disapoint you but you need a reality check. Chances of getting $$ off RU waitlist? Dude your chances of getting off the list period are like 2%. Figure, they have no spots now, and any spot that opens up gets contested over by the whole waitlist (seems like a lot of people). Besides Rutgers is a state school and has little money to throw.

got letter today. Offered waitlist for ft and pt, ill accept

What a nightmare. I applied to Rutgers in October, got deferred, and just today was placed on the waitlist. f-ing bull. Oh did I mention Rutgers is my alma mater. They dont call it the R U Srew for nothing I guess.

Well it looks like im going to Florida Coastal (barring a miracle acceptance from Rutgers (deferred)) While ive heard some negatives, ie:facilities, reputation, Im actually convinced that the school and area have a lot to offer. So who else is going?

Maybe you should join a study group, or a club or something. I'll be in your shoes next fall (moving where I dont know 1 person). Im sure many of your classmates feel the same way. Good Luck

For the record, I live 30 minutes from NYC and went to Rutgers for my Undergrad. Trust me NYC is far, far safer than Newark. Just check those crime stat sites

Ihutz: great post. I was just accepted to NESL for fall/05. I am definately leaning towards going. Where do most law students live? I heard Boston is crazy expensive.
