10 hours a day?  It sounds like you entered with the assumption that they were trying to hide the ball in the first place thus making you think you had to search for the ball.  The ball is there, once you think you have found it, roll with it.  If you are wrong you will find out come class time and can use the insight from that class to determine what snagged you.  Don't keep looking if you think you found it.  That is what "they" want you to do.  In reality, it is right there in front of you.  Good luck.

I agree with the 2 cents.  I was questioning my decision to go to law school prior to orientation.  I am sure that is natural given the scope of what I was about to begin.  However, orientation really made me feel better and look forward to the challenge of law school.

I really don't understand the 2L and 3L folks that talk about how horrible law school is.  There is no way that devoting 7-8 hours a day to study and class isn't enough to do well.  Certainly there will be instances where more time is needed.  I say treat it like a 9-5 and you will have plenty of time to maintain a real life.  It seems to me that everyone who bitches about how they get no sleep and spend all waking hours studying are either lazy or they just want to sound like they are working so hard and you should feel sorry for them.

The poster who said that a 500-600 dollar apt is not delusional.  The place is a ghost town.  I live in a two bedroom that is 495 a month.  That is like someone saying I am delusional b/c I think a 500 dollar apt in the boondocks is expensive because a 1 BR in Boston is 1000 dollars.

I love how the issue has degenerated into "If you are a non-white minority, is it not racist to make comments that, if said by a white person, would be considered racist?"

First off, you conceded that your comments would be racist if you were not a mexican based on the fact that you specified you were a mexican in order to escape an accusation of racism.

Therefore, unless you make the dumb-ass assumption that only whites can be racist, your comments are indeed racist.

The ability to form intent on the part of a minor is assuming that the minor should be placed in the same catagory as adults.  The issue is not forming intent, but understanding that intent and the individual's maturity and development.  I suppose we should execute retarded people too.  They can form intent as easily as any adult. There is a difference between a 16 year old and a 30 year old.  If you say there are none, there are a number of laws that you must take issue with.

The problem is that no matter how hard couples may strive to balance their professional lives and roles as parents and spouses, the professional world is simply not structured to support such a balance. Schools have become day-care centers for working parents.  And as far as healthy marriages go, with two people living two lives and following two dreams, how can the concept of marriage possibly withstand the selfishness of society?  The fact is that we are quickly becoming a selfish and money hungry society.  First it was just the men.  Now it is both men and women.  Congratulations on becoming an equal part in losing touch with humanity in the hopes of attaining what culture deems as success.  We can now share our miserable and concieted day to day lives.

I need a drink.
