Hahaha, I know how you feel Burn. Hit me up if you ever want to chill and grab a beer. And a tip, if you are looking for furniture look through Craigslist or go to American Furniture Warehouse.

I am definitely going to hockey games! And I think tickets are $25-$50 a pop. As for the prep course, I was thinking about doing it, but it's a lot of $$$ and I'm pretty confident that I can do well without it. Plus it also gives me one more week of enjoyment before orientation/school starts.

Kinda off topic from the light rail and law school, but I'm in town now and if anyone is down to grab a beer or food or practically anything, just give me a holler. Tomorrow I'm thinking about wine tasting at http://www.littleravenvineyards.com/discover.htm Best part is that it's free and right in Downtown, so after that I might head over and grab a beer or possibly go beer tasting at Flying Dog. If anyone wants to cruise with, hit me up.

You got your ID card already? I didn't think we could get them until Orientation. Not sure about the RTD sticker, sorry.

Wow, I am getting excited! Only 9 more days till I start my drive out there and begin moving into my new place. Here's what I have as far as my schedule goes:
Civ Pro - Ann Scales
Contracts - Celia Taylor
Law Pro - Rogers
Property - Cai

From what everyone has said so far it does not seem like too terrible of a schedule. I'm emailing for the evaluation password right now :)

A couple days after I get moved in I will post up and see if anyone wants to meet up for a drink.

Hello everybody!  I too will be starting this fall at DU!  Just rented an apartment right next to campus so I'll be walking/biking in every day.

Yall make sure to let me know about the beer when the meetup takes place!

See you all in the fall!

-Nick

Damn Nick, right next to campus - that's awesome! Yeah, I'm moving in on July 14th, and soon after that it would be cool to meet up with some of the DU LSD'ers and grab a beer.

I'm living a little northwest of the school on Florida ave. Mapquest says 5 miles to campus but its about 15 min driving time. It was suprising how cheap good apartments were compared to LA. I think I got into a really nice place.

Just got back from Denver and it looks beautiful! Everything is green and the people are awesome. The whole point of the trip was to find housing, and this was done very easily within the first day. Although I'm living about 15 min/5 miles away, the place I am living at is really quiet and I think will be pretty awesome. In fact, every place I looked at was really nice; much better than the shi*holes I am used to in LA.
Anyways, just wanted to let people know that beginning July 15th I will be a Colorado resident and would gladly buy the first round for my fellow DU 1L's.

After I visited DU I fell in love with their hockey rink. I played roller hockey for years when I was younger, but haven't been able to get out for a while with school and other things going on. I'm definitely signing up for the law school hockey team, if there is one.

On a side note, I'm heading out to Denver from June 4th to the 6th to look for housing. If anyone will be around the area at this time, hit me up and we can grab a drink.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Law School and Pets...?

I very badly want to get a dog before law school, either a rottweiler, malamute, huskie, or similar breed of larger dog. But, I also want to get the dog when it is a puppy, so I can train it and watch it grow up. How long exactly do you think it will take to grow up/get trained. I plan to move to Denver in late May for law school so I can find a job and get settled, do you think I can have it trained before school starts in late August?
