Sorry to hear that. You still have some chances and some great schools to choose from already. Good luck.

5 is going to be tough. Assuming a WL counts as .5, I'm sticking to my prediction, but I'll need a Harvard WL to get there. Not easy.

can you get into the admitted students site?
Yes, I was, though I don't recall any mention of it in the letter.
Congrats on NYU! I'm not holding my breathe for an admit from them, but I'm glad to see another Hoya get some love.
It seems like they sent out a round of admits on friday, so if you didn't get one, it does unfortunately sound like you've been waitlisted, dinged, or held for a while. Is it a top choice for you?
Also, have you heard financial aid info from anyone yet?

In at NYU, 9x12 manila envelope, last Friday. Apparently a batch of these went out. No financial aid or scholarship info included.
Also waitlisted at Michigan on Friday via email (along with it seems like 1000 other people). Withdrew application today. This would have bothered me if I hadn't gotten in at the #5 school in the country about an hour beforehand.
I've mostly moved my posting and reading over to xoxo, but I wanted to specifically update those of you that followed my over/under thread last month. so far I'm 3/8, with a waitlist. If we count a waitlist as a ding, I need to get into 2 of HYS,Chicago in order to hit the consensus over/under of 4.5.
If a waitlist is .5, I just need one of them.
Personally, I'd take an exploding offer from any of those four and forget the over/under. I'm sticking with the over, though it now looks bleaker.

We should all go to the accepted student's weekend/days together. Like a united UVa v. Northwestern front
I haven't heard anything about scholarships, probably because I don't qualify, but Northwestern's BINDER is KICK ASS. So far I haven't gotten anything written from UVa except their acceptance letter. Although both confirmed that I got my financial aid applications in before their ridiculously early Feb 15 deadlines.
Sounds good...by the way, I looked at your LSN profile. Is GW psycho? Punk Georgetown Waitlist fools...

I got an email earlier this week from Northwestern telling me that they got my FAFSA stuff but not my tax forms in on time. [I'm trying to remember what it said exactly because I can't access my hotmail from work ] Anyway, I wrote them and told them I was still filling them out and they said no problem, just send them when you're done.
Anyway, congrats on the acceptances! Those are my top choices right now!
Thanks - having looked at your profile on LSN, I predict you'll have some even better choices in the future. I hope I do as well, though I'm VERY happy with these two schools.
NU also called me and asked me to resubmit my tax forms - I had sent them an estimated return since my W-2s didn't come until very late. After they got the real form they emailed me to confirm receipt. That was about 2 weeks ago, so they should have everything now. I don't know how long it takes to turn it around, though.
I know some people already got merit cash - anyone know when I should expect to hear about that (if I hear about it
