Thanks for your response! I'm hoping to stay in Florida due to my husband's job.  But you are right in that a wider net may be appropriate.

Thanks! I'm just applying to the University of Miami because it is the only other Tax LLM program in Florida besides the University of Florida(which I'm pretty sure that I can not get into).

General Board / Florida Certified Legal Intern
« on: September 07, 2008, 07:05:28 AM »
I go to school in Florida and evidently Florida requires students to complete the character and fitness section of their bar (whether they plan on applying for the Florida bar or not) to act as a student intern before the court.  Has anyone on this board completed this thing with disclosures? And if so, how long did you wait until your got your clearance letter?  Does completing the CLI requirements help the actual student bar registration go faster if I ultimately decide to stay in Florida?

L.L.M. Board / Tax Attorney Salaries
« on: May 30, 2008, 11:11:20 PM »
I'm currently a 3L at a T4 and definitely plan on getting an LLM in taxation to boost my options.  Just wondering whether the low ranking of my JD school will highly effect job opportunities.  Also, does anyone know the ranges for entry level tax attorneys?
