Being accepted and being smack in the middle of trying to make what may be the biggest career decision of my life--I am just trying to gather varying points of view.

There's some good advice here... I appreciate it. The biggest hurdle for me is the prospect of making less when I graduate from law school that I do currently (and having ~90K more student loan debt). It also puts life on hold for 3 years. I realize that if I don't go now though I might end up not going at all (getting caught up with 'life' and all).

Dilemma.

Found this article on Lawyer job satisfaction...

http://www.law.indiana.edu/publications/particulars/2001winter/lawyersat.shtml

"Predictably, attorneys in large private firms report the highest average annual income ($79,140 five years out; $184,300 15 years out), while attorneys in public interest report the lowest average annual income ($35,120 at five years; $50,620 at 15 years). But perhaps less predictably, the high-earning practitioners in large private practices report the lowest average job satisfaction while the lower-earning types of practice all report higher average job satisfaction..."

My problem is I can't afford with private loans to be on the bottom scale--so it looks like I'll have to hate life. Thoughts?

My stats are 3.2/154...

I believe the website says the 15th but it was the 30th of last month.

I read in another post that someone had already been admitted to Stetson for the spring, but I think s/he may have applied a bit earlier. I didn't get a chance to apply to Stetson b/c the deadline was so much earlier than the other schools. The other schools should begin reviewing applications as they become complete. Depending on when your file is complete, I think the turnaround time for decision letters is about a month or so. Most likely, we should be hearing from most schools sometime in November, maybe some earlier and maybe some later depending on how efficient their AdComs are and how strong/weak our applications seem to them. The sooner your file is complete the sooner it's handed over to the AdCom for review.

Yeah I got an acceptance on 9/16. I actually applied on 8/29. The website says the deadline is 8/15 but I found out (when I called) that they extended it. I have no idea why the turn-around on the application was so fast.

Since when has LSN been down? I've been out of the game. Anyway to answer your question 3.2/154.

I got a letter of acceptance today for spring!

That didn't take very long compared to last time.

I knew something would come through for ya, bro. Congrats. Chalupas and Bob's on me!!

Thanks man. Its been a while since I've been on the board--I hope everything is going well for you!

jchyon - Thanks! No, I didn't apply to any other schools for the Spring semester.

Hello my peoples--those of you who are still around!

My final waitlist did not come through--so I'm waiting on Stetson to decide on my Spring application.

Good luck next round for people in the same boat.

Yes, if you mean Dec. 2004, that I have.  ;)

That is what I meant. I had the wrong year. My attention to detail was probably why I scored so high on the LSAT the first time.

test 48 isn't even out, the latest is 45. I have that.

I just realized I had the wrong test number. Anyway, I will try to order it. Thanks!
