I've received some of that, but not in the same way you mention. My parents and siblings are all pretty supportive. I've encountered the "Why do you want to do this?" response from some extended family, such as grandparents, etc. But the people closes to me and around me on a daily basis have all been supportive.

I've asked around about Nova. From what I understand, like Casino said, you are likely to be fine in South Florida. The degree probably won't travel well too far away, but there are a lot of Nova graduates practicing in Florida and doing ok. It obviously doesn't have the rep that Florida, FSU, and Miami have. On the plus side, from what people have told me, it's a better option than St. Thomas, Barry, Florida Coasta. This is all just second hand information though, so take it all with a grain of salt.
