Law School Admissions / No decision yet? Why?
« on: February 16, 2005, 11:26:53 AM »
I've gotten a ton of rejections but also some good news: in at Penn and Boalt.
I'm waiting on Harvard, NYU and Columbia. My app was complete back before Thanksgiving. What are they waiting for?
Any advice?
I'm 3.97 with a 162 (averaged), south asian female some unique stuff in application

i was waitlisted at yale with a 163/3.97

didnt spend too much time with the process or with admissions reps. i was pretty thrilled to be waitlisted with my lsat.

i was kindly rejected not long after

i'm re-taking the lsat, hoping to get upto 169-170
and reapplying we go again...

why dont they just reject us already then?
i think its stupid to keep people strung along if they know they arent goin to let them in. and i'm sure if they knew for sure they werent going to let us in even if spots opened they'd have already sent us the letters or rejection

back to the no gpas and class rank

this interests me immensely.
the only other place i've come across this is at yale and they have kindly rejected me already.

i just may look into penn and send them some letters of continued interest.

i dont have any alternatives. i've been waitlisted everywhere. i just really havent done my research on penn, i wont lie. if it was on the top ten list on the east coast i pretty much applied there.

good luck to ya'll.

Just got an email from the folks at Penn telling me they are continuing to hold me on their waitlist unless I reply and ask to be removed from it. They will continue to consider me through the summer it says.

Anyone else get this?

Anyone crazy about Penn? I applied there bc it was top 10, but I just feel like I havent gotten that much positive feedback on it and was ruling it off my list (as if I can afford to be picky, i havent even gotten in) but still.

So if you've got good things to say about it, please post!

I'm still waiting on Penn too.
They sent me an email a few weeks ago saying that my application was now being reviewed and that a decision will be mailed by mid June. I imagine if that decision was favorable I'd have gotten it already. I should be getting the rejection any day now.

I will update when I hear.
My stats: 3.97/ 163

Good luck folks!

more intensive strategies would be highly appreciated. i have read the books and understand the theory, but when it comes to doing the exams, i dont know what happens, i think i'm applying the strategies, but perhaps i'm using the wrong ones and/or applying them wrong.

thanks for your help, i'll ck again soon for your response.
