LSAT horror stories / Re: Major advice

Have you been studying like crazy for the lsat these last three times? Have you taken a prep course? If not I would say give it a shot in 2006 but study like crazy and do a prep course. Can you get into any school with those stats?

LSAT horror stories / December retake?
« on: November 02, 2004, 10:11:11 PM »
Should I retake the lsat this December? I got a 153 in October when I was averaging 160-161 in my practice tests, I don't know whether to just apply early (right now) and maybe increase my chances or retake it and apply then. I'm afraid that I'll score the same thing (test anxiety) or only a few points higher not making much of a difference and then have to apply later decreasing my chances. Please advise on what to do?  ???

Minority Topics / Are Cubans considered a minority?

I was just wondering whether Cubans are considered a minority? I've heard that in some cases it doesn't really make a difference, I was born in Cuba and have lived in Miami since I was 5, just wondering if you guys thought that would help with admissions.

LSAT horror stories / Advice

Scored 10 points lower than my practice test, I got a 153 and have about a 3.6 gpa, I'm also Hispanic. I'm moving to Washington, D.C. what schools do you guys think I have a chance at? Should I retake it in December or just apply now? Thanks

LSAT horror stories / Re: did anyone actually NOT bomb this frickin test?
« on: October 25, 2004, 01:20:21 PM »
I completely understand you, I scored 10 points lower than my practice tests, I even scored lower than the first time I ever took the test, I've been really upset all weekend and I have no idea whether to just go ahead and apply with this score or to try and retake the stupid test in December what do you guys think? I scored a 153 and am Hispanic, I wanted to go to American or George Washington, not I don't even know if I can get into Catholic!
This definitely proves I'm not a good testtaker.
