Is anyone reading that red coursepacket, "Introduction to the study of law" for orientation? I know the thing is not for credit and some people have been saying that reading for it is BS. I don't know though...

I received my award letter and sent that back to the school for the federal loans. Do I apply for the private loans now? I haven't received a student budget of any kind, not sure if that matters. Anything you can tell me in regards to what I should do next would be good.

I recieved my financial package from Brooklyn a few weeks, which consisted primarily of loans aside from the merit scholarship. $18,500 in stafford loans (8,500 subsized, 10,000 unsubsidized)  and $2,000 in perkins loans.

I also recieved an e-mail from Jennifer Smith informing me I was assigned a triple in Feil Hall (which was surprising and a bit unwelcomed considering I had only requested singles). However they are really playing up these apartments so I'm assuming they will be really nice.

UH OH, this can't be good. When exactly did you get your financial aid reward letter from them? I filed the FAFSA and their personal app a while ago and now i'm wondering if I screwed up or maybe it was sent here and thrown out by someone. ???

St. John's is definitely a good school and worth the scholarship.

However, if they average scores, they may have decided that anything short of a miracle would not propel your score, or perhaps it was the opinion of their committee that you should have cancelled if you had the flu.

They could have had any number of reasons, but perhaps the left hand was not talking to the right hand -- ie:  application may have had a note on it, but you may also have been eliminated by a computer program or some individual that was looking only at numbers and not at notations.

If you are truly upset about it, I would call them.

No admissions committee should ever make a decision under such a large assumption like that.
