I'm in a GW and Preferred WL at GULC.  Let's just say that it gets to be a week from registration at GW and I JUST THEN find out that GULC accepts me.  I'll be in DC, no matter what.

If it logistically possible, from a loans perspective, to accept the offer?  Any real-world examples of last minute stuff?

Thanks in advance--

« on: May 31, 2005, 02:21:01 PM »
Does anyone know how to deal with apartments that have income requirements (like, 3x rent/month or, say, 42x rent/year)?  Just look elsewhere???  I'm finding a lot of places have requirements...Ideas?

Thanks

Well... I'm going to be in a school in DC (GW or GULC), so it really is not a huge deal.  I'll be doing off campus housing and I am doing the evening program.  So, I'm still kind of fishing for real-worlds on this matter.

Thanks for the response.

But... why would they wait this long in our cases if we didn't stand a chance?  Is it that there is no PT waitlist or something logical like that?

If they really do want to shut this backdoor to the T-14, then we would both, probably, be likely auto-dings...

Just thinking.

BTW, I saw your posts on the GW admitted students forum.  Hit me with a PM and lets discuss.

So I'm complete since 12/10/04, have a 160, 3.76 (3.94), and have not been rejected, WL'd or anything...what does this make you think?  Possible admit?

I have some strong soft factors and easily got into GW PT...any sense???

Thanks-

Choosing the Right Law School / Forgetting???

If one is able to do biglaw and not play "keep up with the Jones'" they will save enough for retirement in 20 years (max).  If the goal is to have an income of mid six figures, this doesn't really work.  If you can live on $100k/year, it is very, very doable.  Imagine being 45 and retiring???  But you have to imagine yourself living within your means and being careful instead of like a Rabelasian infant your entire adult life.

possible???

This giant chateaubriand at a steakhouse in Tampa where my cousin had her marriage rehearsal dinner.  My wife took the picture in horror and sent it to her tiny japanese friends as further evidence that Americans are a piggy, disgusting lot.  I don't disagree.  I ate the who steak plus most of my wife's tuna steak.  I used to be 315lbs and am now 220...

But HOLY SHYTE, I'm in at GW!
