Any reason why mercer dropped to t3?  I was pretty surprised to see that.

Sounds awesome, I worked right across from K&S in colony square.  Hopefully we can cross paths in Macon.

How'd you hear about that meet and greet?

Seems great fit for me, lower gpa, 65th percentile gpa, want to practice in ga.  It is a t3 school though.  How competitive will I be for summer associate programs at the big firms in Atlanta?

I've read law school confidential but obviously a ivy league experience is going to be totally different.  Is there any books written by those who went to non-ivy league schools?  Dumb question.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Need help with grammar

I am looking to get a quick refresher on basic grammar.  This could be as simple as buying a high school english book but I figured I would check to see if there were any grammar study books specialized to law school.  Probably not.

When they say the deadline is 3/1 that's just for my written app write?  They will accept lsat scores sent after that?

Law School Applications / Sequence of Events question
« on: January 06, 2009, 11:56:58 AM »
I've decided to retake the lsat in feb.  I haven't sent out any applications yet but was planning on writing my personal statements and sending out apps in the next few days.  Should I continue with that plan or should I wait until march and get my second lsat score back?  Should I def. get applications out before march but not be in a huge rush?  Also, have I screwed myself for not getting apps in already?

How do you format an addendum?

Recommendations / Okay to have no specific recs?
« on: October 28, 2008, 07:26:39 AM »
I posted this elsewhere as well but is it okay if I don't have any specific recs?  The recs I'm getting don't have any connections with the schools I'm applying to.

Law School Applications / Specific vs. General Letters

I'm pretty sure I'm going to use all specific because I don't have any ppl that can recommend me for specific schools.  Is it okay to not have any specific letters?  I could get a few specific letters but they wouldn't be personal really.  What do you think?
