2L job search / Re: Choosing between 2 D.C. firms
« on: October 21, 2008, 09:18:29 PM »
I used to work on the staff of Arnold and Porter. The firm treats their attorneys really well and they seem, for the most part, satisfied with their jobs. A lot of the associates and partners have been at the firm for a while. A&P's office in DC is the largest and the firm has an excellent reputation both in DC and outside as well.

Another question:

I noticed that case does not have a laptop requirement, is it okay to use a MAC? Do people usually take a laptop to class?

Studying for the LSAT / Re: TestMasters screwed me over
« on: July 15, 2008, 05:05:33 PM »
Guys,

just based on your stories, i am reiterating that this does NOT sound like the real testmasters. When i signed up for the course the same thing happened to me, and that's when I realized I signed up for the wrong course. Luckily I was able to get my money back. Testmasters180.com does not cancel classes nor do they schedule them all in one day. See if you can get your money back because even if there is class this one is not worth it, it is more of a scam than anything else.

Are you sure this is THE testmasters? THere is another company called test masters that schedules all their classes in one day

www.testmasters.com is NOT the actual testmasters you hear everyone talking about
www.testmasters180.com is...

if this is not ur situation, then ignore this post. hope it works out.

Thanks for all your help jhertzo and congrats on doing so well in 1L. Do you know what the curve is at Case? What would you say your hardest 1L class was?

What is CaseArc all about? Does it add a lot of work on top of the regular class load?

Yeah. While I appreciate their frequent emails, their hopeful wording is throwing me off...

I'm posting the email for any opinions or in case anyone got anything different:

We want you to know that the Admission Committee will be meeting on Monday through early next week on our candidates on the Wait List.   You earlier indicated a strong interest in Wake Forest.   We would appreciate your letting us know if this interest has changed and if you have an updated contact for cell phone or email.  Please let us know immediately.  I look forward to hearing from you so I can present our findings to the Admissions Committee.   Thanking you in advance for a prompt response, I send best regards.

Has anyone been rejected of the WL yet?
