Hi, I am moving up to South Carolina and will possibly be taking the bar in February. I am in desperate need of the South Carolina Study material for the Bar. I am really interested in the FULL BARBRI set (including Cd's), but if you have any other material please let me know and I may be interested.
I am really interested in purchasing these items within the next few weeks. Please let me know. Thanks!!

Sent my deposit in today. Here's to hoping it doesn't get lost in the mail...
And why in the world do they take Discover/Mastercard and not Visa? Some agreement with the other two?
Good question! I actually had to go to the bank and get a cashier's check for this.
Sent my deposit today as well!

I'm desperately trying to decide between Vanderbilt and Texas, and I was hoping you guys could help me out. For anybody who made a similar decision and chose Texas, could you explain your reasoning? Anything about Texas that made you choose it over Vandy? I've posted a similar question in the vandy thread and I want to read and compare responses.
I think for me, the main thing is the city. I've visited both recently, and Nashville doesn't hold a candle to Austin. Other people might feel differently, but as far as what I want in a city/town (warm weather, great music scene), Austin is a better fit than Nashville. And I really want to be as happy as I can be for those 3 years. As of right now, I'd have to pay about the same at either school so money isn't helping me decide. Rankings don't help much either, as the 1 space difference is negligible. I wasn't able to attend Vandy's ASD, I just visited on a Saturday, so unfortunately I can't compare student bodies. I will say of Texas though, that the people I met were really cool, and seemed to be having a good time at law school.
I haven't completely decided yet, but I guess you can see where I'm leaning

How do you people have scores in the 700s? Where the hell did I go wrong?
My established credit is pretty young but my score is still above 700. A credit report I read the other day said some of the factors keeping it high were that I have few credit cards (2), I pay off the balance in full every month, and I never get really close to my limit. My downsides were that my limits are still somewhat low and, of course, that my credit history is young, but I guess the upsides outweigh those.

OP, if I were the lady in this scenario I think I'd be pushing you to go to Harvard. Not that this would necessarily happen, but I'd hate even the prospect of hearing during an argument "I turned down Harvard for you!"
I am quite pessimistic however.

Yeah I'd love to go as well but finding out yesterday, and then having to submit the stipend app. today, including a planned itinerary...can't do it. Oh well!

Well as far as the LSAT, I don't think I'm up for a retake. I studied thoroughly, took a course and all, and my practice tests were around 160-164. Plus everything was normal on test day, so I think this is just my score.
re Northwestern: I've been out of college for 2 years now, so I'm hoping that will help some.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hello all, I'd like some input about some other schools I should apply to.
My numbers: 3.8/158
I applied to the following schools right before I got my Dec. 07 score (huge disappointment by the way), and now am feeling anxious that I should add more:
UGA (haven't actually applied yet)
I'm a black female, have some good work experience including time teaching in Europe. Not much by way of extra-curriculars, but many academic honors and awards. My PS is quite good, and I believe my recs are as well. I really just want to attend the best school I can get into, so let me know if I should give other schools a shot.

Had to come out of lurkdom to post on this thread. Melanie Nutt really is something. I met her at the LSAC Forum and am applying to Wake almost entirely because of the impact she made on me.
