Studying for the LSAT / Guy on TLS received his score!

Holy *&^%...

http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36116

paperjames: I got my LSAT score from the June test, which was a 178! I called LSAC, and they stated that this year scores will be released according to the percentile that you received on the test (ie, 99th first, then everyone in the 98th, etc). LSAC said they will update their website by midnight EST.

Anyone else who scored high get theirs yet! Good luck to everyone else! I hope you all get scores soon!

Law School Rankings / Re: Why the focus on the T14?

All you had to do was a google search. All three of those reasons are correct. Only those 14 have been in the top ten at some point, only those 14 have been in the top 14 as well, and all of them are very prestigious and place well in the legal world. Schools like Texas, UCLA, and Vanderbilt often move around between #15 and #20 and that's why the term T20 is appropriately used for them.

Wrong.

See p8. Do your research. :P

[and yes, I know what your counterpoints will be...]

Ah yeah, you're right, in the very first year they did the rankings a couple non-T14's were in the top 14. That does change things a little, and I was wrong, but (here's the counterpoint you were expecting) since 1990, the second year they did the rankings, the top 14 has been constant.

I got ACL surgery (they gave me a new one from a cadaver) Wednesday and also got Mass Effect, a really addictive game, for X-Box 360. Between those and spending time with my friends, I'm passing the time reasonably sanely. So think about surgery next time, guys.
