Wow, 30% scored higher than you and 70% scored lower than you.

I'm a mid-level nerd.

General Off-Topic Board / Re: Books to read

The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint, Brady Udall

That is such a great book, definitely one of my favorites.

Okay, now for light beach reading:
For humor: Small Gods, by Terry Pratchett.
For Sci-Fi: Expendable by James Alan Gardner, or Snow Crash, by Neal Stephenson
For a tear-jerker: Paula, by Isabelle Allende

Items in EQ2 are very unexciting.  They all have the same basic stats.  You should probably play WoW if you can manage to get (and afford) a copy.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: US NEWS 40-50 in 10 years

Top 20?  You pessimist.  They will finally make it top 15 instead of 14 when Cooley becomes the first law school to break into the top 14.

Darn, guess I'll have to get into U of Chicago then.  Or move north to Madison.

So I see comments on this board about them being LSAT whores and they look like LSAT whores on LSN.  Their website, though, brags about their high percentage of first years with previous work experience.  Does anyone know which is closer to the truth?

Ok, here are a few points of information I would have liked to know when I was applying to law   Whereas in undergrad you could probably read about 40 pages per hour, expect to only get through about 10 per hour in law school (reading notes and case brief not included).

10 per hour!  Awesome!  I can currently do only 3-5 pages per hour.  Good to know law books are easier to read than math books.  Probably heavier, though.  :(

A serial killer in the late 80s dumped a body in the city where I go to school.  It's kind of odd because it's sort of a ritzy suburb.

You're right it's the first one.

Law School Admissions / Re: handwriting

My handwriting is crap, though sometimes I would get credit for answers simply because the professor or TA did not want to take the time to decipher my writing.

Man, those are some nice teachers.  Some just give no credit if they can't read it.
