Current Law Students / Re: Tulane/Loyola Law Students
« on: September 01, 2005, 08:49:02 AM »
I am a current 1L at Tulane, and its horrible to see the devestation around New Orleans and all the other Katrina-affected cities.

I hear that many different schools are opening their doors to students for this semester.  For right now, we're all just sitting tight, waiting to see whats the official decision by the schools.

I am a Tulane 1L, and I am fine, drove out to Alabama on Saturday to stay with my sister.  Most of the 1Ls I know also made it out safely, and there are about 400 Tulane students being housed at Georgia Tech and some other schools.

As of yet, we have no word on when classes will be restarting, or if they even will be restarted this semester for that matter.  We're all just sitting tight, awaiting news from the school.

Thank you for your concern and care.

anyone still on the waitlist?

i got off the list 2 weeks ago.  and just for the record, they told me that there was a little over 100 people on the list, and 15 were taken off.  now from those 15 i don't know how many accepted it, but i did.

Just wanted to start a thread for those of us who have decided to attend Tulane this fall.  I also wanted to see if everyone has found their housing, or if they're still looking.

I'm heading out to NO next weekend, July 8th through the 11th to find a place and a roommate.

i got accepted off their waitlist and will be attending there this fall.  they told me that there was about 100+ on the waitlist, and that they had offered admission to about 15 of us.  i guess, depending on how many accept from those 15, will determine if anyone else is accepted

i also got waitlisted on friday.  are you going to stay on the list?  i will.  its definitely one of my top choices.

i'm on the waitlist for 3.  it sucks

exactly.  it makes no sense.  i mean there are 100k jobs at the big big firms, but in general, salaries tend to be lower in miami than in other big cities.  i don't really know why this is.
