Nashville School of Law / Re: Admission chances?

As a general rule, the longer you've been out of school, the less your UGPA matters in the admissions process.  They will look more closely at your LSAT score and work experience since your undergraduate years.  I think that if you include an attachment explaining your poor undergraduate performance (many schools ask for this on the application anyway if applicable), it well help them to put your GPA into perspective.  Time is definitely on your side as far as minimizing the impact of a very low GPA.  It will also be very helpful if you have some significant career accomplishments since graduating college.  I definitely think you should apply to some better schools.  Good luck to you.

Law School Applications / Re: how long?

BU took 6 weeks to request my LSDAS report.  I had to call the admissions office several times.  They were very vague and not helpful.  I was told they have a different system this cycle where they wait for LSAC to "show them that the report is available".  So I'm chomping at the bit because the admissions office doesn't know how LSAC works.  Ridiculous.

Every application I have submitted through LSAC has had the LSDAS report requested by the school and processed by LSAC except one.  I submitted the app on 9/3/07 (the date on which the school began accepting apps).  It is now 10/11/07 and the school still has not requested the report!  I called the school 2 weeks ago and was told that they will start reviewing applications in a few days.  Is this a sign?  Even if they aren't going to entertain the thought of admitting me (this is a re-application), could they at least respect me enough to request my report?  Is this too much to ask?  Has anyone else had this problem?  Thank you.
