I think we are on our own as far as securing housing goes. There is one American-affiliated complex called Park Bethesda for upperclassmen, graduate students, and law students as well. (like the school, it's fairly expensive). But no law school student housing apparently. And I hear they have a housing conference sometime in the summer.

See you there. Nice to see an American thread not relating to the cost of tuition  :P

I'll be starting law school in DC this fall...looking at places online. Anyone know much about the Silver Spring (MD) area - specifically downtown? Thanks in advance!

Were you still accepted though?

Yeah I did get in.

Thanks for the feedback. I spoke with American this morning and it was a mistake (I got someone else's acceptance letter - same name but different program - what are the chances?...)

Has this happened to anyone else?

I was accepted to American today, but under the part-time program. I looked at my application to make sure I didn't make a mistake, and I did check the "full-time" box. I do not recall any option to be considered for part-time if you didn't get into full-time, so I don't think that's the issue. Hopefully it is just a mistake.

I am worried though because I was accepted under the binding early decision program; can they switch my status without my permission? I'll call first thing tomorrow morning but I am interested to hear what some of you think.

Law School Admissions / Re: Admissions Consultant again taking questions!

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions.

My question is about binding early admission policies. If you are accepted, and the school requires you to withdraw your other applications, how do they know that you have done so? Also, say the school accepts you but offers you no money, and you simply cannot afford to go there. Can the school prevent you from applying somewhere else and/or somehow blacklist you? Any information that you can give me on this topic would be useful.

Thanks again.
