I'm considering leaving law school. I realize that nobody can make this decision for me... which is why I won't dump all the details on this board seeking advice. Instead, I'd like to know if others were in the same situation, and what was the moment when you were sure that you wanted to leave? Are you glad you did? And logistically, does it make more sense to finish the semester or leave now? (My success has nothing to do with my choice, so knowing my grades is not a factor). Thanks.

Not sure anyone on here really cares, but since I've had both on and off-board discussions with several of you regarding the pros/cons of Tulane I just wanted to say thank you for everything, but I will not be heading to NOLA in the fall... because I got accepted to SMU!!!

lol... yeh... after I posted that I called my friend who said the same thing. I'm not going to worry about it. Once SMU confirms my seat deposit is in, I'll withdraw elsewhere.

I was just accepted on the 24th by voicemail (which I didn't get until the 27th because I was in Puerto Vallarta). Talk about a great welcome home gift!
But-- now I'm concerned about this more deposits than seats thing (I'm mailing mine today). If more people do not withdraw, is it possible that they'll have to revoke acceptances to the class or will they just expand their capacity? Is it a good idea for me to then NOT withdraw from my second choice in case SMU pulls my acceptance?  8

If I'm going to be staying in Dallas I'd REALLY like to know so I can re-sign my lease at a much cheaper rate or get the heck outta there... I hope you're right on this... I'll be on vacation tomorrow thru the 27th and it'd be great if I came home to some good news~! |
