You know, I'm not sure if a shirt is the best thing. My eyes aren't great, so I would be worried that what I thought was dust might be something a little harder. That screen seems like it would both scratch easily and make a scratch pretty visible. There was a discussion about this on the Dell board at www.notebookforums.com and most recommended a microfiber eyeglass cloth, so that's what I got. V 3

5.5 hours?!? Dang! I get about 3.5-4 hours out of mine, tops, and thats just wordpad and surfing. Maybe I should send it in and see if I can get a new one.
As for the screen, I bought an eyeglass cleaner cloth and wet it just a little to wipe the screen, then I polish a little with that blue cloth they give you in the Klearscreen baggie. Not great, but ok. Might have to buy some more of those wipes. V 5

FWIW, I have really bad eyes, and I haven't noticed a big jump in diffuculty between my 700m and the LCD monitor I use at home. I have the text size increased on both, and I get along ok. Also, I've never had a laptop all to myself before, so I couldn't imagine using anything bigger than this. I have it with me almost constantly. I've seen some other people's laptops in class, and those things are friggin HUGE!!!
There are a couple things I don't like about the 700m, however. The battery life with the standard battery is horrible, and the extended battery is servicable at best. Also, the shiny screen service gives a great picture, but attracts crud like you wouldn't believe. I've got to wipe that thing off constantly. Other than those two things, I'm super pleased with the machine. I didn't have the small keyboard issues that some others have mentioned, and I have average to large sized hands. V 6

Two things:
A refurbished "Tron" stand up arcade game. Light cycles, spiders, tanks? F'n A! Also, a bad ass lowrider van, with a mural of myself on the side dressed up as an aztec warrior. With a sound system on which I can play illegally loud mariachi music every where I go. V 9
