I'm in the same boat.  Sent out a few more resumes yesterday, hoping for the best.  I am pretty nervous and rather surprised by how hard it is to find even a non-paying job this summer.

I guess it would depend on the person's other grades.  If it's A,A-,A-,C, the C would look like an aberration.  B-,B-,B-,C is obviously another story.

Cabra: we were probably in the same civ pro class.  At least it sounds like we'll get them on Wednesday...hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

For some reason, I feel as if I am the only IL concerned about money. I scoured the Senate guide for any mention of the loan disbursement date and there was none. I called the Financial Aid office, and they reported to me that the date is the 13th, but because of my past eperience with this department, I am not fully trusting of this information. Is anyone else anxious about getting their loans? Can someone relieve my fears or shed some light?

Also, Love Button, I just moved from West Philly and mice were a huge problem. I too see them out of the corner of my eye in even the most ridiculous of situstions. I think I am traumatized.  :)

From everything I've seen, our loan money will be disbursed on or before the start of classes.  The paperwork that I received from my loan provider shows the disbursement date as August 11, which is the first day of orientation.  I don't think there's any need to worry!

Who is your lender?  I checked my account status page on Access Group's website, and it says that my loans will be disbursed on 8/4.  I don't think that's quite right, because I don't think loans can be disbursed into our accounts until after we attend a group entrance interview session, which is scheduled for the first day of Orientation.

Maybe loans are disbursed on 8/4 but won't be officially credited into our accounts until after 8/11?

Those of you who have already your made health insurance selections online: did you receive your plan ID cards yet?  I recall reading somewhere that we should get them within 2 weeks after choosing our plan, but I just realized that it's been more than 3 weeks since I made my selection and I haven't received my card yet.

For me it's more like...finally! This summer has been rather long and boring.

It's finally working with Gmail now, only after I added the alias as one of the addresses from which I can send emails using my Gmail account.

I just tried forwarding to Hotmail instead of Gmail and it works.  Any idea what might be wrong with my Gmail?  (it receives regular forwarded emails fine...just not this alias) :(

I recall that one of the 2Ls posting here is a computing expert.  I have a question concerning my email alias:

I have my CubMail setup to forward to Gmail, and as long as that's in effect, the address doesn't work.

When I turn off my CubMail -> Gmail forwarding, however, the first.last email address starts to work.

So apparently, the alias doesn't work if my CubMail is already being forwarded.  It appears as if this kind of "double-forwarding" (alias->CubMail->GMail) doesn't work.

Is this how it's supposed to be..that you can't the CLS alias if your CubMail is setup to forward to Gmail?

Thanks (sorry if this is confusing!)
