bus?? that might be a problem, actually. right now my car is my locker. i can't imagine having to take the bus with 2/3 case books and a 17" notebook. that would probably get old kinda quick.

where do you want to practice?

one good thing about a top school is that the degree travels well.

I planned on waiting a few months to see if anyone came to pull me out of my classes. "Mr. XX, what are you doing in CIV PRO II?"   ;)

I only have 2 grades in and they aren't horrendous but aren't great (B, B-).  I don't intend to discuss them w/anyone beyond being super general, but a friend of mine today told me she got an A in the class where I got the B- (I didn't say what I got, she just up and told me her grade), and it pretty much made me feel like crap.  I'm sure she didn't intend that at all and was just excited about her grade, but still, it literally made me feel stupid and unmotivated.  So....I'd definitely advise not sharing your grades even with friends.

One of my friends got an A and I was really happy for him. I try to compete against myself not my peers. One of my Profs, famously, got all C's his first semester (he crushed it after that though) and he went on to argue before the SCOTUS. Hey, why not me?

I admit that there are things that I can improve. I have weaknesses and I plan on addressing them real quick.

the fear is gone...this little lady just got a B+!!!!   ;D

make fun of me all you want..but i worked my face off, and the kids at my school are so very competitive..that I'm really happy!!!

great job. right now, i'm praying for a B+ in contracts.

Ok. So I'm going through a bunch of personal stuff too, and the school I'm going to was not my first choice (this is related to the personal stuff, I got in to the school that was my first choice).

if you got into the school that was your first choice, why not just drop out now and reapply there?

with no grades it's like you never went. much better than a half-hearted effort imho. hey, you can still take a year or two to find out if the law is what you really want.

the crunchtime ones are much more compact - get those. e & e are the best imo, but you'll need more than 3 weeks to digest them.

why not just get  an llm. that way you can get the depth of knowledge you want and something to show for it.  ;)

question for those who have gone through this exam process already:

if your exam has @ 13-20 issues, how are you to get all those iracs done in under the time limit? i think our long essays are only @ 1 & 1/2 hours. it does not seem possible that one could type out 10 plus pages of iracs, unless they can type over 100 words per minute. it seems like there would be very little time for reflection.   :-\

people keep telling me it's what you say and not how much, but even the minumum needed just to say "what" seems like a lot.
