well hes not a guy i blew in a dark alley way because im not in the habit of blowing guys.
however he is my brother so actually he would hire me for a job I wasn't qualified for, but like i said he works for the financial corporation in the financial department not the legal dept. and although hes not an entry level employee with no pull he also can't outright hire me.

yea I have a great connection to a large financial company who assures me he can obtain a position for me in their legal department. The thing is I just don't see places like this being so willing to hire an entry level attorny with no large law firm experience, especially as it seems these jobs are highly coveted, even though the pay isn't overwhelming (he told me they usually start around 90k). Although my connection is solid, i.e. not some shmuck I met at a  BBQ giving me lip service, I just think they may be naive to the competition prevalent in the legal market. Any thoughts? Is it possible to obtain jobs like this in this manner?

personally i think it is way over priced and not really worth it. if you have 2 other roomates and get an apartment by yourselves i think rent would look like something around 700 per month and thats being generous, and to my knowedge the off campus is housing is what 12,000 for the year? its like an extra 4 grand at the end of the year. So  unless i'm wrong about the price of the off campus housing doent seem worth it to me.

ehh sorry thought you were responding to me..

all the other stuff it doesnt really matter much to me, i was just explaining where i got those numbers from, and nalp is a seemingly well informed third party which isn't serving any agenda's so i thought it seemed reputable the numbers they had for other schools seemed to be in the right ballpark...but whatever no big deal

i do NOT go st. johns and i said what do i really know because i have never atteneded EITHER school...i'm just going on the numbers i'm told and nalp.org shows 130 employers going to st johns and 36 going to hofstra, sounds like a big difference to me, and the scholarship hofstra sent to ME required a 3.25 gpa be kept so maybe its different for other people, and the scholarship st. johns sent me required that i remian in the top half of the class.
