got in as well, phone call Thursday
Yeah, I'm a little baffled as to how this is a tough call, especially since money is not an issue. Go to UT. A small, cozy envirnonment is a reason to choose somewhere for undergrad, not law school. I mean, UT is a big school, but it's not like people are bursting out of the lecture halls or anything.
I have been accepted at both UT-Austin and W&L. I have $15/k a year at W&L and no money at UT, but thankfully I don't really have to worry about the money issue. Any advice at all would be helpful! I'm not sure I want to stay in the state of Texas to practice and I hear that might be something to think about when considering UT. Thanks so much!
Well if you're not sure you're interested in a law practice in Texas, might I inquire if you do have any firm specific geographic locations in mind for a future practice?
I believe W&L does quite well in the South-East/Mid-Atlantic (from DC downwards).
Do you have a preference for class size and/or location?
It will probably be hard to beat W&L if you're looking for a small, tight-knit class with a fairly low student-faculty ratio. However Lexington is definitely a "small town" compared to the City of Austin. I do believe there are a number of Texans either currently attending or considering to attend W&L.
Have you visited W&L?
EDIT: Ahh... I see that Waitlist2010 beat me to it.
