Are they basing this off of your FAFSA?  If so, the portion under 'Investments' specifically exempts Retirement savings plans, such as a 401(k)...

(edit) Actually, the problem might be that it wasn't reported as contributions to a retirement account, which is on Worksheet B.

Wow -- I'm Section C as well.  Looking forward to Procedure at 8 am MWF already...and I will have a hard time not referring to 'Teeter Torts' for my Torts prof.

Glad to have you in SA, by the way.  I would've considered UH if it wasn't in Houston (although I am a rarely-seen-in-these-parts Texans fan).

For what it's worth...

I was 3.05/171 (grad in 96, same as you), in state, and I didn't even get waitlisted at U of Texas...

..of course, being a white male probably didn't help either  ;)
