phew...

I've been running out of things to print out and wipe my ass with. Keep spamming the board, I had a TON of soft taco supremes at Taco Bell tonight.

120 for making wiimote look witty in comparison.

I've read through a few discussions about laptop bags/backpacks...but nothing that was posted very recently.  The thought of having a rolling laptop case frankly makes me nauseous, but at the same time, the thought of my back breaking is not appealing either.  Are rolling bags the norm?  Are they the most functional?

LAS ???

Only if that bag is rollin on dubz, twennie fo' inchez bro!

Is anyone going to law school like I am just because you watched the movie Legally Blonde?

Just talked with a rep from Lenovo. My ship date says 8-09, but he informed me that it wasn't accurate and will ship in the 1st-2nd week of July. Better than expected.

I asked him about the recent delays with all the comps and he said that the comps ordered during the last weeks of May though the Memorial sale are delayed because of the bezel (couldn't quite hear him with that one) that goes around the screen. Those comps ordered during that time are delayed and supposedly shipping out this week or the following. The comps ordered after that time were not affected by the manufacturing delay and thus are being received before everyone else's. Just thought I'd throw that out there after waiting on hold for over an hour....

What kind of study supplements/aids, if any, do you plan on buying (Law in a Flash, E&E, etc..)?

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Albany Law 2010 thread

Any other folks starting their 1L at ALS this August?  Heard good things? Bad? How has the apartment hunt in the state capitol been for you?

Some thoughts on my end:

1.  The students I spoke to all said they had a good experience there, but didn't care for the administration.

I've had a chance to speak with a few people that graduated this year and they said they loved it as well, didn't mention the admin stuff though. I'll have to ask.

3.  the apartments around the law school area are inexpensive, but many are decrepit, esp. around Lark Street.

I have to disagree. I'm right on State like 50yds from Lark and my apt is great. 95% of the buildings around the Lark area are historically renovated. Just stay on the law school side of Central and Washington Ave and you'll be fine. And NEVER venture into Arbor Hill, lol. Park is right next to me and the people are incredibly nice to my surprise

schools do this?

5.  You seem to need to be in the top 20% at least to get a job in NYC.
.

I'm didn't get to ask the people that went there as far as class rank and placing down state, one kid just casually mentioned that people on law review automatically got jobs in NYC it seemed, though if they were on law review their ranks is likely above 20% I'm assuming.

Have you moved to Albany yet? At this point I'm trying to guesstimate my living expenses and other costs to take out in loans. Trying to get a feel for it.

I ordered mine today and got a ship date for 8-9. I may try and give them a call tomorrow or Tuesday and see if I can schmooze the ship date up a little bit, that's like 3 extra weeks of build time. Though some of the options I checked did say that if selected it could delay ship times.
