true. why would you care about UCLA clothings and hats sold in foreign countries when you're trying to pick a law school? (unless your first priority lies in having as many people as possible to recognize your school, that is)
yay! I'd been compulsively checking my email too before I came here and found out I should log in to the website, and guess what, I got a spot too!!
I'm on the second floor! who else is with me?!
and now, if I could just get my USC email, that'd be perfect;p
Update: permits are refundable, and I did get one in PS1. however I also called Admissions and they said they will be sending parking info later, and my friends at SC law said they reserve parking for 1Ls so I didnt even have to do it yet. They take care of it for you, and that happens later. Oh well.
that's nice. I just hope they'll have enough spot for everyone who's bring a car.
and congrats on UCLA!!
I've posted it before and I'm posting it again, cause I'm such a fan. Everybody in here would love Indecision by Benjamin Kunkel. It's a funny and somewhat complex, but extremely well written, story about a 20 something guy trying to figure out why he can't seem to make up his mind an do something with his life.
I felt the second half (trip to the jungle part to be specific) was more quirky and strange than the rest, but it is by no means terrible. it has its own charm I think. If you like Eggers, Vonnegut, etc., I think you'll like it. it's like a contemporary version of Catcher in the Rye except the main character is a bit older than Holden.
I personally heard it from my friends who go to USC. if the print says the sales are final, maybe they are but I've heard of students selling permits they don't use to others. so you always have that option even if the parking office doesn't give a full refund.
yes, I think I read somewhere on the website that you can get a refund. plus, you could transfer it to someone as well, I think.
also, for those of us who're expecting to live on-campus, there's a separate lottery system for parking that you can enter on the website. I think the result comes out sometime in June. the cost is cheaper than other on-campus permits and around $250.
