Studying for the LSAT / Re: High PT -> Lower Official LSAT Score« on: March 03, 2007, 01:50:47 AM »
I was scoring in the 168-172 range at home. On the real thing I started the first section too relaxed; I over-paced and then kind of panicked and had to speed read the last 5 problems.
Result - 165, 93rd percentile, rejected from Mensa. 3

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Is Kaplan a TTTesting company or are we all idiots?« on: February 11, 2007, 06:32:46 PM »I can't remember either--I was paying attention to the section headings. And I am fairly certain I saw 26-27-25-25-22 That's correct. For the people who had LR RC LR LR LG it was 26-27-25-25-22. I ALWAYS check the number of questions at the top of each section so that I can pace accordingly. 6
Studying for the LSAT / Re: Is Kaplan a TTTesting company or are we all idiots?« on: February 11, 2007, 04:08:58 PM »I had version 1 - LR (26), RC (27), LR (25), LR (25), LG (22) I had that form. I just can't see LSAC making two graded tests and thereby two curves for one LSAT administration. That's why I think S3 was experimental for us. 7
Studying for the LSAT / Re: Relaxation/Concentration Techniques« on: February 11, 2007, 03:56:12 PM »I'm looking for fresh perspectives on how to get "in the zone" for the LSAT. Someone suggested some deep breathing before beginning the test, imagining that blue air is being inhaled and red air is being exhaled. I tried this before taking a section while I was studying yesterday, and I was surprised at how much it helped me. Yesterday I did some (discreet) breathing exercises while the proctor read instructions. I ended up so relaxed by the start of the test, that I proceeded through my first section too slowly and almost blew the section. It's actually why I'm hoping that Kaplan's correct (but I know they're not). 8
