Has ANYONE received their football tix yet? I called the ticket office to check on mine just now, and they said they are holding them because I am not registered for classes and that to get my tickets I have to bring them a copy of my class schedule, which I don't have because we don't have section assignments yet.

This sucks. :'(

This is bull. I would rather dine in hell with the Spartans' enemies than miss the first game.

Just an FYI for people trying to get rid of their trash produced by moving - apparently, all the trash does need to be in the blue bin. I put an extra bag of trash right next to the blue bin and they didn't take it :( But it looks like extra cardboard outside the cardboard bin is okay (they took that, bye bye ikea boxes).

See all you MAPers (do I get a poke in the eye for making a noun out of that?) tomorrow at the banquet :) And good luck to the summer starters on your finals.

Yup. When you least expect it.

(football tix... got em yet?)

All this EE talk scares the *&^% out of me... I have an engineering degree, but its in engineering management.. I got the OK to take the patent bar... but are you all telling me that even if I do well in school, that I wont get a job doing patent work because Im not mech or EE?

Of course not. It's just that EE's are in high demand right now. The market could change in three years (probably not though).

Previous work experience is important for EE/CSs getting into IP. You really need to have done technical work in order to be able write good patents. So, Rocket, if you can hold your own technically, you'll do fine.

Another important point: if you want to litigate and not prosecute, you don't need any technical degree/experience (although I've heard it helps a good deal to get the job).

You'll get a full ride (Pres. Merit Scholar) at GW. You have a decent shot at the lower T14. If you have a really good statement, Boalt and Michigan might be within your reach. Good luck, and apply early!

From a pure scheduling standpoint, they are the roughest.

Also, Clark being the only thing on Friday mornings (8:05am) could be a little bit of a cruel joke.  Wake up and rush to class, then done by 9.  Back to bed?

Legal Practice classes until almost 6 seem like a pain too, but at least they are only twice a week.

L might have the best schedule, purely from a time standpoint.

For shame! That's to make sure you study on Friday. They'll put all the people they think are slackers into those sections... so, see ya Friday morning.
