Incoming 1Ls / Re: YLS 2011? Who's in?
« on: May 02, 2008, 09:05:55 PM »

I'm born and raised in California (Bay Area) and went to DC for undergrad. I came back afterwards  and I'm likely to leave again for law school.  I may return after that.  Nothing is permanent.  You can always come back to California if you want to try something else for a while.

Having said that... I will be heartsick over California when I leave.  I love it here.

On the ASW RSVP form, it mentioned which days you needed housing so I'm assuming they meant with other students then?

I looked at a map of Yale and I find it odd to have a cemetery across the street from the school. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet.

I'm looking forward to the YLS ASW.

Do they house us with other students or at a hotel?  Anyone heard anything about this?

How much is Yale Law worth? Will I have any negotiating power with their financial aid office?

As someone who went to Community College, I can say that I honestly don't think that it matters much.  As long as your years there are strong and you transfer to a decent school and do well, you'll be fine.

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / What to ask when visiting schools
« on: February 02, 2008, 10:04:57 PM »
I remember a while back someone posted a list of questions that you should ask when visiting law schools.  Does anyone know where I can find this?  I can't find when I search.  If nothing else, what are you planning on asking when you visit?
