I don't think we should take ConLaw as 1Ls (which ConLaw would it be, anyway?).

In any case, as for the clinic prereq issue: talk to the clinic director in question (if you really do have a good shot at getting into the clinic). I'm in a clinic right now despite not having one of the prereqs because the director was willing to waive the requirement. Although, if I'm guessing right, you probably do want to take CrimPro I with McAdams over ConLaw III with Stone.

If your preferred clinic is FCJP, there are some strongly recommended classes. So keep that in mind. You could talk to the director of the clinic (Alison Siegler) to get a rough idea of your chances of getting in, just so you can plan this year.

I took it as a 2L last Spring. There were quite a few 2Ls were in that class, but we were clearly in the minority.

I don't think there's any steadfast rule about this. If you have an open spot in your schedule, don't see anything else you want to take, and don't mind taking this version of Legal Profession instead of one offered later... go for it.

One thing: are you in, or hoping to be in, a clinic at any point?

I don't think you're going to get a definitive answer on Gersen/Masur for admin. They're both well-liked professors with very different styles. I would not be surprised to see an equal split there; and obviously no one has taken Admin with them both.

I heard a rumor that Mortara sets the median at 174.  He aims to separate the future CoA clerks from the posers.  Many people earn 173-5s, and a few hit 185s.

Yeah, so thats not correct. None of those sentences are correct, actually. So... yeah.

What's your opinion about the Chemerinsky book? $50 is a lot of cash but I don't mind if it's helpful.

Yes, its pretty helpful. I never actually bought it (I just used the one in the library as a reference whenever it was necessary), but it wouldn't be a bad idea just to buy it. In hindsight, I probably would have done so.

What do you mean by "unreasonably" hard?

The listserv certainly suggests some good news--and I know a lot of people who don't send their interview offers into OCS. So yay.

I'm doing:

Trusts and Estates
Introductory Income Tax (heard great things about Roin . . . I love very clear, organized professors)
Fundamentals of Accounting for Lawyers (if I get into it through lottery)
Advanced Legal Writing (ditto)

Wow, that sounds so incredibly boring. I mean, I don't want to be judgmental about someone's class selections... but, seriously, that sounds brutal.
